When to use compare mode
Choose Compare configurations (2–3) in the LayoutIQ panel when you need an apples-to-apples decision — for example SAT 1P vs SAT 2P, or Fixed Tilt 2P vs Single-Axis Tracker 1P on the same buildable polygon.
For a single mount/portrait only, use Single configuration — faster and simpler; YieldIQ shows results for your selected row without a comparison table.
How comparison works
- Pick up to three configs (e.g. SAT 1P + SAT 2P + FT 2P)
- LayoutIQ runs each at its recommended industry pitch by default
- Click a pitch row to override spacing for that config only — exports still use the row you mark Selected
- YieldIQ comparison uses real LayoutIQ MWp per config, not estimated capacity from GCR ratios
YieldIQ & exports
The configuration comparison table appears only when your sweep included two or more configs. If you change a compared pitch after YieldIQ ran, re-run YieldIQ when prompted — stale comparisons are not shown silently.
Project ZIP, A1 layout sheet, and RevenueIQ always reflect the one selected layout row, not every compared config. Map preview can switch between configs; deliverables stay on your export choice.
