Flat stack vs physical row width
A tracker row is wider when modules rotate than when they lie flat. For screening, PVMath uses the physical row width at maximum rotation (plus standard clearance margins) to set pitch, GCR, and inter-row shading — not the flat module stack width alone. That aligns early layout and yield with how EPCs think about row spacing and O&M corridors.
What you configure
- Rotation limit (±°) — user-set maximum tracker rotation; shown on the live schematic and in reports
- Portrait count (1P / 2P) — module stack height affects the rotation envelope
- Pitch & GCR — derived from physical width ÷ row pitch for tracker layouts
- Terrain floor — when TerrainIQ cross-row slope is available, recommended pitch may respect a minimum spacing for civil screening
In the app
The LayoutIQ panel includes a tracker schematic (end view) with your rotation limit. Selected layout rows show physical row width and φ on the preview. YieldIQ row shading for trackers reflects rotation-aware screening, not a fixed-tilt shading curve alone.

For Single-Axis Tracker projects, the unified report includes:
- LayoutIQ section — pitch, GCR, physical row width, rotation limit, plus a Tracker row geometry (screening) table (chord vs physical width, physical GCR, pivot height, ground clearance)
- Design basis annex — rotation limits, ground clearance assumption, and row shading methodology in plain language
Re-run LayoutIQ after platform updates if an older saved project lacks geometry fields in the report.
