YieldIQ — yield on your LayoutIQ mount

PVGIS energy for the layout you chose — before PVsyst or lender-grade modelling.

Runs from LayoutIQ

YieldIQ uses your selected LayoutIQ configuration — mount type (Fixed Tilt or Single-Axis Tracker), portrait count, GCR, pitch, and loss assumptions. It does not ask you to re-enter mount settings.

When you open the Yield step, analysis runs automatically for your layout row. YieldIQ is intended for early-stage screening; validate with a detailed PVsyst or bankable energy assessment before investment decisions.

Key outputs

Configuration comparison

When LayoutIQ swept two or more configurations (compare mode), YieldIQ shows a comparison table: MWp and annual MWh from each config's actual LayoutIQ row at its selected pitch — not scaled estimates. Change a compared pitch → re-run YieldIQ when prompted.

Single-config projects do not show a comparison table — only the selected layout yield.

Ground coverage ratio (GCR)

GCR is module collection area divided by ground footprint. Higher GCR increases DC density but raises inter-row shading. For trackers, PVMath uses physical row width at max rotation for GCR and shading screening (tracker geometry guide).

SiteIQ / LayoutIQ capacity screening uses indicative MWp/ha bands — separate from the GCR and pitch in your chosen layout row.

Screening vs analysis profile

SiteIQ uses a lighter PVGIS screening profile for speed in combined reports. YieldIQ uses disclosed soiling, other losses, and GCR shading for a richer analysis profile. Both are preliminary — not substitutes for PVsyst, independent engineer review, or lender models.

Temperature loss in YieldIQ comes from PVGIS physics — not a flat percentage guess. Total loss reflects PVGIS combined derates where available.
