Intelligent GIS & buildable area

OpenStreetMap constraints, engineering setbacks, and a buildable polygon that LayoutIQ uses for row packing.

What SiteIQ detects

From OSM and configurable buffers around your site boundary:

Buildable area map

The map shows your full boundary vs the buildable polygon after subtracting constraints. Area (ha) and capacity bands in SiteIQ use buildable area when GIS completes.

Performance

GIS queries run in parallel with multiple Overpass endpoints; results are cached per bbox for faster repeat visits to the same site.

Downstream use

LayoutIQ defaults to packing on the buildable polygon. TerrainIQ slope stats can be scoped to buildable area for more realistic grade numbers on constrained sites.

OSM coverage varies by region. Always validate against cadastral maps, environmental studies, and grid connection plans before land option or permit submission.
