Road mode
- Off — continuous row packing (default for early MWp estimates)
- Auto — applies a preset road grid suited to tracker or fixed-tilt block sizes
- Custom — manual row/column block counts and gap widths
Block parameters
When roads are enabled you can tune:
- Rows per block and north–south block gap
- Columns per block and east–west gap (tracker sites)
- Road width presets (perimeter, collector, inverter access)
What it affects
Roads consume buildable area — MWp/ha drops versus a road-free layout. Use this when presenting realistic utility-scale footprints to clients or when comparing tracker block sizes on long narrow parcels.
Road centrelines are schematic. Final grading, drainage, and fire-access compliance require civil engineering.
