Why one azimuth matters
Utility-scale layouts use a single row direction across the site. PVMath does not rotate each row independently — that matches how EPCs build tracker blocks and fixed-tilt tables in the field.
Preset azimuth (default)
- Fixed tilt — azimuth sets table orientation (e.g. 180° = south in northern hemisphere)
- Single-axis tracker — azimuth sets the tracker axis direction (180° = N–S axis, 90° = E–W axis)
- Country-aware defaults apply when you leave azimuth on auto
Draw alignment guide
Switch to Draw alignment guide, click points along a parcel edge or road on the map, then finish the polyline. PVMath computes a length-weighted average bearing and uses that as the layout azimuth for the entire sweep.
Use this when the best row direction follows a boundary, fence line, or existing access road rather than a compass preset.
